Default Bracket from intake manifold to trans

Theres a black bracket that runs from the back of the intake manifold to the engine or trans. Dose this part need to stay intact? I think ive seen a couple posts were guys have done a clutch job or somthing and left this part out. Why do I wanna know this , just simplicity ; )

I took it off to do my rad hose. I did put it back in. I think It helps hold the intake manifold since the angle is quite far from the engine.

I figure Honda put it there so It probably braces something

The intake manifold is braced in two places to help reduce vibrations at sustained high RPM's. My car has neither. I have meant to replace them and I will eventually.

The second brace is under the manifold. It attaches to the head of the motor and somewhere under the runner for cyl 2 I believe.

I've had both off my car at some point between clutch jobs, knock sensor replacement, etc. The IM is pretty cantilevered off the head without them. I would recommend keeping them there, and see no benefit in removing them.

Yeah im leaving them. They seem like it would just be better and hold the engine more satably in high rpm.
