from the dslr pics, I dont think any of the welds penetrated.
I agree. Most of them roll under at the base. Zero penetration.

Damn. I feel unsafe about my rails now. Maybe I'll take them off and have them rewelded at a trusted place.

Like a bad solder job. Better off with epoxy.

Thats BS. I could do tack welds better than that crap. Id rather be riding on rivets than those welds.

Ok, so I got two e-mails back from Buddy Club. One last night which I didn't read until after 5pm, and one this morning.

The first e-mail told me they would replace the rail, and asked me to call them directly. The second e-mail, less than 24 hours later asked for my phone number so they could call me. This indicates to me that they are in "oh shit we need to get this rail back before he tells anyone" mode

So I just called them up, and they said they would send me a brand new rail and a shipping label for the old one so I wouldn't have to pay shipping. I said this was acceptable, as long as they ship the new rail to me first so I can examine it before sending back my old one.

Anyway, when the new rail gets here I'll post pictures of all the welds so we can see if they actually welded the rail properly this time. If the welds are not better, I'll call them again and tell them it's unacceptable.

Given that my rail is 2-3 years old and the original welds looked exactly like yours...I'm going to bet the new rail won't be any better...

Good luck
