Hi. I don’t track, daily drive. I just want mid range gain. There’s a used buddy club header ( welded ) for sale at $800. Any advice or feedback would be much appreciated before it’s sold

 

Notes I've been reading here the past 9 years show aftermarket headers don't do anything significant. Without sifting thru all your posts we don't know what you're driving. Please update your signature line and profile if you want us to help. Did you ever pass smog -- we have no idea where you live either.

If you have a 2006 or later car real mid-range power can be gained with FlashPro tune, a high flow car, and your VTEC tuned below 4000rpm. (Mine is 3600.)

Bolt-on parts will do absolutely zero for you without a tune. You'd be wasting money.

 

The intake and exhaust manifolds are exceptionally efficient on this car. If I'm not mistaken, even the Spoon/Mugen cars just used ported/polished manifolds on their competition cars. I think there are unicorn mods that may help with a tune, but the ROI is insanely low.

If you want to get power, get a tune.

 

If it is light and pretty I say go for it.
