Bypassing SRS/Airbag light with aftermarket seats?
I just recently bought my second s2000
It is a 2002 ap1 with aftermarket bride seats. The previous owner somehow bypassed SRS light so that it doesn't even come on when I start the car. I don't know if he removed the bulb from the dash or if there are any other ways to bypass it. Being that the light does not come on at all, my guess is he removed the bulb...
Any suggestions? Are there any DIY's that anyone knows about for this exact problem? Maybe not trying to turn it back on but turning it off? I would like to make it that the light comes back on....
This is really a first for me, normally I wouldn't mind my light ever coming on but I plan on getting this car inspected and possibly selling it in the near future. So reverting it back to oem standards is a must.
Any help or thoughts is greatly appreciated!

Yeah all the dash lights do come on except the airbag light, how hard is it to remove the bulb from the dash and do you know if they is a DIY guide for it?

This is correct. There is only one connection and it's for the seat belt. If you have the SRS light on then it's related to something else. 06+ do have extra seat position and passenger weight sensor that could cause the issue.
