Default can someone make an aftermarket 2 piece rear bracket kit for hardtops already?

ive done some looking around and heard of some companies considering it

why has no one done this yet? it would be pretty easy to fabricated a 2 piece bracket kit that you could probably even just lock like on the miatas

it would sell like hotcakes!

IMO i hate the way it looks -.-;. We don't even need it. A properly fitted hardtop should hold down just as well.

ill specify, im talking about a kit that retains soft top functionality without being in the way of the soft top when the hardtop is removed.

as of right now i have to remove my panels and uninstall the brackets if i decide i want to go top down for a bit. im not really interested in that

If it's easy and will sell like hotcakes then make it and sell it.

It's not just ease of manufacture but demand. Production costs increase as sales volume decreases. Clearly it hasn't been considered a viable product. The S never sold in quantities like the Miata.

I have a 2 piece on my car that allows the soft top to go up and down! They are no longer in production though but I love it! Really allows you to tighten the top down as well! Biggest plus is being able to leave the part bolted to the car and put the soft top up and down with no issues.

lol sorry I misinterpreted your post. I thought you meant like the miatas that have the brackets on the outside of the hardtop.

Message the member IIGQ4U. He makes two piece brackets. I'm not sure if he still makes them but its worth a shot. He never advertised them on here
