cf hood not lining up on the side
hi i just bought a seibon cf hood ...but the sides is lifted a lil bit..its not flushed....i was wondering if cold weather is making my hood lift ..... or would i have to adjust...i already adjusted the rubber in the front ...but still the same ...
1. should i take my hood off during winter time ?? does it matter if its cold or hot ? thanks for the help |
did you adjust the rubber in the middle?
|
the only rubber i saw was at the front corners .... there no rubber in the middle .... the middle is the latch ....theres no rubber ..
but will my hood gets worse if its cold ....should i take off and put my stock hood back on? |
i think carrera may mean the middle rubber thats located on strut tower?
|
^^i think he does also. but adjusting the hood latch assembly makes the hood go lower down more than anything else. unbolt the hood latch assy. and position it lower then retighten and see if it's better. you need to play with that as well as the hood/hinge bolts, and hinge/body bolts.

weather has nothing to do with it(at least not extreme enough), once the resin is cross linked it doesn't change.
it's not a thermoplastic that you can change shape when heat is applied. it has more to do with the craftsmanship than anything. alot of time you have to play around with shim, adjustment and hood latch. |
yeah but when i do lower the hood latch ......it doesn't want to lock in ... how many rubbers are their ..i only see two and their at the front ...where are the others ?
|
the man said the other rubber adjustments are on the strut tower...u do know what the strut tower is right...
|
I know a couple people with seibon hoods that could never really get it to fit right.
|
take it off, blow on it with a hair dryer and put it back on.
