Picked these up yesterday. Trying to get them cleaned up before I fit them
This looked like glue One of the mirror base had some corrosion inside I’m wondering if this was from moisture or if it is from the dissimilar metal Hit it with a wire brush and some 220gt This is the better of the two. Notice the small rusty pin at roughly the 1 O’clock on the Allen bolt. The corroded base is missing that pin You can see how it works, pin keeps the mirror arm from spinning/rotating on the base.
they aren’t perfect, and I don’t know if I can get them there. But some paint and some lock tight ought to make them functional
good chance, they were very cheap. Not even something I wanted to do. Glad I did though, met my new best car friend. He’s got a treasure trove of parts from his 4 s2000 he’s had.
Just saw the same ones online and wanted to see if you were able to test fit them and how did they fit? Some the same ones on eBay but I’m skeptical on the fitment

I actually started on the passenger side, had the door card removed. Then realized what a PITA is was going to be to remove the stock mirrors and then get these on. I thought the nuts would be more accessible but they are practically blind.
so no. I bailed on them. I only paid $30 for them but they are still sitting on my desk in my office

I bought the same ones, they do not fit whatsoever. I ended up having to make my own bases out of aluminium. They are a universal replica so if you do buy them don't expect it to be a 5 minute job.
As for removing the old mirrors, they are accessible if you peel back some of the plastic lining and go through one of the access holes in the inner door. Just use a 10mm deep socket and an extension and you'll find your way onto them with a torch looking inside.
