Default Cutting the hood frame

I need more clearance for my ITB air box and I'm thinking about cutting off some of the frame around hood prop area.
Just wanted to check if anyone done this before or know if it's an bad idea? Don't want my hood floppying off or collapsing
Here a picture with a rough idea on the cutting

Don't know what or if they had to cut the hood but the Speed Academy guys in Toronto put ITBs on their ASS2000. Worth a glance at their website and maybe a post on their facebook.

Yes they actually posted a short video on facebook not long ago and where it looked like they had it cut https://www.facebook.com/gofastwithc...50231445207937
I'm hoping they make a new episode soon and show us more.

Edit: lol I don't know if the Speed Academy guys read my post but they just added the new episode, looks like I'll try something similar

+1 on the comment. Won't cause you any problems. I cut the center out and louvered the hood.

It looks like your setup won't clearance just taking out the middle, coming from ur sharpie diagram. I would go with hood dampeners; round off both supports taking out the spot your showing and then also pull the pillar using the hood prop, just so it looks more presentable.
