Difference between OEM shift knobs?titanium vs stock

Hey there, I was wondering, can you tell the difference between the stock 00-01 aluminum shift knob and the aftermarket honda accessory OEM titanium knob. Is the knob pictured on the right a OEM ap1 or the titanium knob? thanks

Ti knob. Can tell by the color.

wait, so is the knob on the right titanium or not? All the titanium knobs ive found are either extremely polished looking or look like theyve been spray painted with dark gun metal silver. I also thought you could not see the "spun" brushed finish on titanium knobs? How many versions of this are there, because now im finding almost polished ones?

It's Ti. It looks a little "fatter" than my AP2 OEM Ti knob but maybe the early models were a little bigger then. That may also be an optical illusion. The one on the left is definitely the stock knob.Andd if it is not OEM Ti then it may well be painted because it is a knock-off. Is the heart of the scoring the same color as the surface? If so, it is Ti.

The link and the picture posted above are both the same shift knob. It's just different lighting. Stock or Honda accessory probably weight the same or similar I would say, it's just one has the leather wrap so it prevents the knob from getting too hot or too cold in certain weather condition.

AP1 aluminum knob weighs 150 grams. Titanium is over 200 grams.

The knob on the right is the stock 00-01 knob. The Ti knob is polished and you really don't see the swirls.

thanks for the input, and to those that said it was Ti, it is a STOCK 00-01 knob. :tipwink:

I have both OEM and Honda accessory ones and they're both heavy almost equally. The aluminum looks similar to the titanium but the shade is a bit lighter.
