Default DIY - How to make trunk pull handles.

just came up with a simple mod so you can close your trunk with cleanliness and style. trunk pullls, foo'.

only need a few items:
snips
box cutter
2 feet of 3/8" ID rubber hose(by the foot at the hardware store)

use your snips to cut the hose into two segments of 11" each. the hose will have an arch to it since it comes off of a spool. grab your box cutter and cut through the wall of the hose along the OUTER edge of the arch. should be a split in the hoses from end to end now.

open your trunk and look under the lid. there is an egg shaped opening on both the right and left. you will line this opening with the hose.

you have to work the hose a little but press the split side over the edges of the opening in the trunk. press the hose outward as much as you can for a snug fit.

right side:

left side(no idea why this picture is inverted, doesn't look like that on flickr):

now close that trunk!

my cost was about $4 for material and took about 15 minutes in labor... pretty simple but keeps your trunk clean if you hands are dirty, or keeps your hands clean if your trunk is dirty!

When I saw the title I thought this was for that little handle you see in cars for someone to get out of the trunk and my first thought was "you can't fit a person in the s2000 trunk". Lol. Good call more comfortable that the bare metal.

Believe it or not you can tho. Hahahaha. A couple friends and I went to the beach but right as we were leaving his truck broke down so the third homie (maybe 5'10 150) hopped in the trunk for the 2 hour drive. Lmfao

I use the center brake light so I don't have to touch the paint.
