DIY: Ingalls Engine Torque Damper Install
#112
It seems Ingalls has provided two different instructions on which direction the damper goes, I've noted a discrepancy in the instructions and wondering if anyone can help resolve it:
The installation instructions from Ingalls on their website shows the damper installed the opposite way then what you have in the pics. Ingall's Illustration 7 shows the damper going the other way but the adjustment document from Ingalls shows the way you have it is correct. I've searched all over the internet and see that most people mount it reversed from what you have it. The logo side doesn't matter because it's printed both ways on each side of the damper.
So then which way is it suppose to be?
Ingall's installation instructions, go to illustration 7:
www.ingallseng.com/Instructions/stiffy_adjustment.pdf
and here's the adjustment instructions that explains it must be mounted in the opposite way as the previous instructions:
https://www.ingallse...tions/93048.pdf
So...which is it?

if any of you with this setup are still around following this thread... would someone be so kind as to check out my post in the FI forum about fitting this with the Kraftwerks s/c bracket? I took some pics with a measuring tape to show how much clearance I have. Hoping someone can measure theirs and give me an idea if there's hope of getting this to fit in there or not.

Guys I've made a quick video to show how the ETD should be installed. Like some have noted, Ingalls' own instructions are not consistent and can throw people off. Also in terms of hardware, Ingalls does not specify which order they go in so I also discuss this based on what Ingalls specify for the ETD on other cars.
And yes, the instructions from Ingalls for the S2000 show the product mounted backwards... I believe that's just incompetence and a lack of attention to detail on their part and VERY misleading.

Torque Specs
Bumping an old thread I know, but does anyone have the torque specs for the mounting brackets? I'd wing it but my capacity to feel torque isn't great. Locations marked in the photo.
