Great write up. I put on of these on my old S2000 right after they were introduced by Ingalls back in 2007. I loved it. It made a huge difference in response and shift feel. I am looking at getting another S2000 next year and would definitely do this mod again. Great upgrade for the cost!

Well the purpose of the ETD is to reduce the shake, rocking of the engine while under load. This translates into power being put to the ground instead of lost (this product will not increase hp, but allow you to use more of the hp if that makes sense)

You should also notice a difference in shifting feel while under full load, it reduces some vibrations felt in the shifter, and thus allows for a more direct and certain feel when shifting, even when cornering. This is because the ETD dampens the movement of the motor...and thus reduces the vibrations to the transmission.

Some have noticed a big difference in their shifting feel, others have not noticed much difference...It might be more effective while cars with higher mileage as well. And it is more noticeable when your driving more aggressively.
but with the decrease in engine shake, you get more "cabin" shake right?

simply put, the shifter will shift smoother at the cost of some ride comfort.

No not at all. It reduces engine shake...thus there is less shake overall. It doesn't disperse the "shake" throughout the cabin or car. It reduces the shake, thus you have less overall shake. No detrimental effect to the cars comfort or noise

I have it and love it..

I've been having mine on the car for about 3 months.. And you can kind of feel a slight bit of vibration in the cabin but it's no where near what you would feel with solid motor mounts..

It's very slight vibration but I have noticed it in my car.. I only really feel it in the seat during decel.. Some people probably won't even be able to tell the difference at all..

One of the best bang for buck mods for anyone!! IMO plus it's blingy!!

Honestly the vibration may only be suspension related.. I guess depending on what kind of suspension set-up you're running you might not feel anything at all.. (coilovers /spring vs stock suspension)

I'm not really sure about that but it's my guess..

Thanks for your review. It could depends on car and its set up (condition of motor mounts etc). I can say that I hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary with my set up on Tein Flex Coils set at full stiff or in the middle. My guess is that it would be pretty hard to tell since the S2000's ride is naturally a bit more harsher then most

Does this require removal of the airbox to access the bottom bolt on the engine side mount? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your response

As he said, no it will not require you to remove the OEM air box. This is probably the easiest to install ETD on the market (about 30min tops0...and many people have reported back very satisfactory results from our GB. We are direct and work with Ingalls so if anyone still wants an ETD you can order directly from our site!
