Door sill plate lifting? Fix?
I have something I want to fix on my s2k. I'm just wondering if anyone has dealt with it. Excuse the dark photo, but I think you'll get the idea. I'm thinking, I'll have to remove the full sill, break the clips that hold the metal plate on, gently rebend the metal plate flat, replace it with new clips and then replace the sill piece? Am I on the right track? Any other easier solutions?

yeah that is the right approach. The plate uses very tiny retainer clips, I don't know if you can even buy them separately, if they are still in place you can try to push them in tighter, if they are gone I don't know if you can buy them individually. The metal plate has two pins on it, the round push retainers go over the pins. When I replaced mine with carbon fiber plates I just glued them in place with gasket sealer. The metal plate could be bent as they do bend easy, but chances are they are just lifting up if the retainers are missing. Pull off the sill cover and have a good look at it from underneath.
