ECU relearning itself after mods days later?
Ok Guys...
Just a question i'm throwing out there..
When i first put on my mods, i didnt feel much AT THE TIME of installation, but days later, it seems like it would be a lil faster.
Now that i have installed the Header i just had received, I noticed veerry little difference except some quicker responses. But its been a few days later and now it seems like with all this combination after the header, she FEELS like she's just faster, the mid range seems to not be so choked up and wants to move.
I thought i read somewhere that if you dyno your car....get a number, and then put on the mods and dyno within a few hours of each other, you dont notice much because the ECU needs to relearn itself after reading different air flow.
Is that true? Could it be Possible that my ECU has learned there is more airflow and had adjusted the Fuel to compensate and what not? and now she runs better since we have learning ECU's?
Just a thought guys. Not saying mods work. But just wondering if thats a possability.

well if you are unsure if the ECU hasn't learned the mods, pull the back up fuse.
leave it out for 2-3 mins
put it back in.....then
when you restart the car, make sure EVERYTHING is off, radio, lights, etc.
let it idle for 4-6 mins, then go for a drive. this should be over doing it on time but ensuring the ecu gets it's learn on.
plus depending on the header you probably didn't gain THAT much HP.

i'm sure i didnt gain that much hp since the OEM header is probably the best one.
Just wondering thats all. I'm sure its my butt dyno playing tricks on me
