Eibachs w/ stock shocks bad idea?
I've done a lot of searching on the boards and there is much mixed info. on whether it's OK to run a conservative spring like Eibachs w/ the stock shocks or not. Some have that setup and say it's OK, others say don't do it.
What's a good consensus on this issue?

That was my previous setup from September '08 to about 2 months ago. Worked fine for me...Ran plenty of canyons and was just fine. It's actually one of the better setups because the eibachs' spring rates are not as high as some of the other lowering springs offered but to be fair the eibachs don't lower the car by as much as the other lowering springs either. Another good note is the rear springs spring rate is almost identical to the C/R's rear spring rate...342(eibach)-343(C/R).
If I was in your position I would opt for the Ground Control setup(Eiback makes the springs for the ground controls and you can order custom spring rates) and turn the springs into a full coilover setup so you are able to adjust the hieght on the fly. Hope this helped.

Do you have any pics of your ride when the Eibachs were installed?

notice the eibach(and just about every spring) is designed for ap1, early ap1 suspension, it will not match the dampervalving of the ap2. Most people just throw it on and that's that. But if you do a tad more research you'll find out how much the suspension change over the year.
