Engine Dampener
Hi all,
has anyone gone to the effort of fitting a engine dampener to under the bonnet. this is something I'm contemplating doing to reduce rocking of the engine. would be nice to know what dampeners people opt for and where they have mounted too and from. I'm currently running a S/C lump which i feel would benefit from this mod.
Thanks alot
JJ

I have an Ingalls ETD

I like it, I noticed the effects on the downshifts, they seemed smoother and engine was not rocking during unload.

Ingalls on mine as well--works great and very easy to install.
There are several other brands but i believe the ingalls is the only one that doesn't require modding the exhaust heat shield to fit. It mounts on the front of the engine and the right strut tower
Do a search for "ingalls" on here and there are a number of threads about it that include pictures. (They're usually called a "torque damper" if you want to search for other brands as well)
