Billman I was looking at that combination, when replacing the clutch, does the flywheel always have to be resurfaced?

Then don't get anything made by Competiton Clutches.

My recc:

ACT pressure plate, OEM disc, OEM bearings

toda, comptech, act, or oem flywheel

approx 27 act kits installed with OEM disc-no buzz

2 Competition clutch kits installed-both have worse buzz than the older cars started with.

I can have the CC owners post here to back this up

I have the Comptech (lightweight) flywheel. It takes just a little getting used to as far as launching the car, compared to the OEM flywheel. Sure winds up fast though.

I'd really like to learn more about the Spec lightweight setup.

When my car was supercharged it had a TODA complete clutch kit.
I hated this clutch it was impossible to park without grinding. I usualy stalled trying to get into first on any kind of slope.

going back to OEM was like a dream!

This is the set up I'm running now Billman250

I would say it would be a good recommendation to your customers. I have had a few different setups in my car from OEM to a 6 puck Exedy Hyper single and the Spec setup is the most enjoyable as far.
The peddle feel is light, lighter than stock but, the grip is much better, around 30%. I have the Spec light pressure plate (around 4 pounds lighter than stock) with OEM disc and OEM AP1 14 pound flywheel.

The combo is a more economical choice because you eliminate the cost of a light flywheel. By using the AP1 flywheel with the lighter pressure plate it is the same as having a 10 pound flywheel. You save upwards of $400
