F22c in a 2000 ap1

So here is the back story. I picked up a 2000 s2k for cheap with a blown motor (hole in the side of the block) I also picked up a cheap 07 f22c motor currently being rebuilt. Beside the intake, all the sensors and the valve cover what else would need to get replaced. I was hoping to use the ap1 wiring harness and ecu. Also with the motor being a f22c would I need to run a tune on it so the ap1 ecu times spark and fuel correctly with the f22c.
Thanks for any info.

Research on this will really help, there are too many differences to list off the top of the head unless you are Billman. One thing the AP1 has that your 2007 motor does not is an air pump system and any provisions for it. Hope your build goes well.

Crank and cam sensors with their trigger wheels needs to be replaced.
Besides that and the things you mentioned like the intake it should work.
The air pump system would probably be best to delete and replace with a Izze simulator.

The 2007 engine is DBW and needs the correct ECU to function. And besides the AP1 ECU will allow the engine to run well beyond the red line

Rebuilt? By who? If shop does not have S experience, or humility and understanding that these motors have unique requirements and willingness to research, don't expect much longevity from rebuilt motor.

Its not easy to rebuild these motors and have them last.

I've got the air pump the izze air pump delete kit already so hopefully that should be all I need. Thank you for the advice on the trigger wheels.
