Default Finally purchased an AP2 to d/d and track once in a while

this will be a daily driver and will see a few track days a year, so what do you guys suggest? the only thing i've done is have the car tested to make sure everything is ok. compression is awesome and everything seems in excellent condition.

i did pick up the Monoflex already but other than that, i haven't done anything. i just want to get as much rwhp and torque as possible but without making this thing too loud or obnoxious. i'm even thinking of just keeping the stock exhaust since i haven't seen much evidence of significant gains in hp.

your advice would be much appreciated! i love this S2K !!!!

best mod by far is driver mod and second is tire.

FLASHPRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tires, K&N FiPK, 63mm tp if you want to keep the stock exhaust.

As always, track it first. Then you'll know what you need/want to do.

Thanks for your comments. I've built a number of cars already...a 2005 Scion tC and a 2008 BMW M3. Of all my cars, I actually love the S2K most and it's the only car I've ever bought used! It's a blast to drive...more fun than my M3.

So for the tires, I'm putting on a new set of Nitto's. I have a good friend there so he's hooking me up. I'm used to running Pirelli's on my M3 but for the Nitto's I'm thinking of the NT01 or Invo's. Any comments?

Thanks!

Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to track this weekend and than starting some simple but effective mods! I'm going with the Monoflex, Brembo's, NT01's, K&N, a few Carbing items. That's about all. After that, I'll get this baby some new paint and enjoy the car for the next 5 years!!!

Congrats on the purchase I love my AP2! As far as tires the nt01 and invo are completely different. nt01 should really only be used on track. I plan to buy the nt05's my self as they are good on track and as a daily driver tire. The AEM v2 is a good intake that from my experience is not loud. I am sure if you look on you tube there is a best motoring video with an s2k exhaust test that will give you decibel readins and sounds of a few exhausts. You can get an exhaust that will give gains without being overly loud. The S has a great exhaust note, why not bring it out a little Also BC racing makes some great coil overs on a budget. I love mine!

+1 for nt05's.. They will treat you well on both street and track..invos are meh, and the nt01s are purely a track tire. If you have an 06+ I would look into a flash pro like others suggested, I would also reccommend a 63mm test pipe and a Moddiction countersunk shift knob.. Good luck and welcome!
