Looks very nice! I think it needs a coat of lacquer or something clear and shiny though.

Heh... Reminds me of the stock shift knob that came in my 240Z. Doesn't fit the S2000, but kudos for originality.

actually not really, the one they been selling for miata owner are polished and they are shiny as clearcoated paint.

they been making wood knob for miata for VERY long time, not only they put different stain, they have abunch of grain of wood to pick from.

I think this would look good with the tan interior especially if it had some sort of clear coat over the wood.

Neat I guess, definitely not my style though. I personally hate wood trim in ALL car interiors.
