So ive purchased the Gear X 4.57 gears.Anybody have any experience with these?Hows the whine etc?Also what were your settings when it was fitted(backlash etc)?Will the settings be the same as the Richmond Gears??

Ive tried searching but ive found nothing on gear x.

 

why did you buy them then if you couldnt find any info on them?

 

From what I've read, it seems that gear whine isn't dependent on the gear itself, but the quality of installation.

Setting the shims and other jeweler's work that goes into installing a new FD in the diff is what contributes to the level of noise. If done properly, it should be quiet like stock 4.10's.

Reason why i bought these are because my oem ring and pinion is shot and is now whining like crazy.Also down here in sunny South Africa S2000 parts are as scarce as hens teeth and this only thing i could find that was for sale.
