my S2000 often experienced buffeting on the highway with the softop up, enough to make an empty passenger seat vibrate back and forth. Once I got a Mugen hardtop the ride was so much smoother, no buffeting at all. It drove much smoother on the highway with a hardtop. It does add weight, unless you want to remove the softop , then there might be a weight savings depending on the model of HT
