its recommended to use hood pins due to the light weight and chances of it lifting off at high speeds, but ive seen a lot of people not run it with no issues, but the risk is up to you. im with you on the hood pin thing, i dont like them either but id rather rock a stock hood.

Carbon hoods weigh more than the stock hood (most carbon hoods.) If you are doing it for looks, then get any hood you like, and the stock latch is more than enough.

I have a Seibon CF hood... much lighter then my OEM. And i dont like/use hood pins ethier. Have had the hood one for almost a year now and no problems at all. OEM latch works fine.

We can make you a true race, full carbon hood no problem if you like, guaranteed fitment and made in the USA. It will be lighter than stock for sure. We can use 1x1 or 2x2 weave etc. PM me if interested.

this 100%

I have a seibon oem cf hood that fits perfectly, but seibon is kind of a hit and miss brand.... Two people could order the same hood, one will be perfect and the other will fit poorly.

I dont know of any companies that really make the oem cf ones other than seibon.

theres no def that a cf hood will fit perfect, i would recommend anything seibon makes, as for the hood pins you do not need hood pins if you are still using stock latches

We offer an OE style carbon fiber hood as well. All of our Carbon Creations products come with a 1yr warranty against hazing or fading of the clearcoat. No other manufacturer offers this kind of warranty. Shoot me over a PM with your ZIP and I can work up a quote for you. Keep in mind that we offer special pricing to S2ki members.
