Default HELP on Schroth Profi II Harness Install

How do you mount the Schroth Profi II passenger-outside lap belt on an '06?

List of items to be installed:
Recaro SPG
Schroth Profi II
Double diagnol Harddog bar w/ lower harness bar
HANS

Im installing Schroth Profi II (6pt) on my '06 tomorrow. Ive been looking over this install for some tips... https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...#entry15824923.

If I understood correctly....
  • sub belts will be connected via eyebolts bolted through the floor (w/ backing plates)
  • shoulder belts will be wrapped around the harness bar (lower Harddog bar)
  • lap belts will be connected via eyebolts
    • the outside eyebolt bolted to the OEM seat belt hole
    • the inside eyebolt will need to be drilled & use the backing plate
Now here's where I get to a bit of a pickle. The '06 (maybe +'06) has the passenger side OEM seat belt bolted to the OEM seat NOT the outside tunnel wall (facing the door).

As you can see there is no hole to bolt the eyebolt.

For those w/ '06+ s2ks w/ the Profi II, how did mount the passenger harness? Do you have a photo of the process? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!

I haven't done this on this car, but it looks like you will have to drill and set either a stnadard belt eyebolt, or a tab mount with an eye at the top. Its all about the reinforcement, so it may be easier to install on the floor, not the sill.

^ Thanks! I was looking at possible places to drill a hole for the bolt/backing plate. There is a angled (albeit flat) area, probably about 45* w/ the floor board, that I can drill a hole through & fit a backing plate. Anyone think its wrong to mount the eyebolt to the angled section? I'll have to take a photo of of the area Im talking about.

I just sandwiched it between the seat and the frame.

^This.. if I remember correctly I bolted it to where it would have gone on the passenger side seat belt location.
