HELP! Trouble with NRG hood dampers
I was trying to install my new NRG hood dampers today and had a few problems.
- The left side damper did not compress when I tried to shut the hood. WTF did I do wrong? How does this work?
- The right side damper only had 1 of the 2 female ends line up with the bolt on the body, not the one of the hood.
Anyone have any advice / suggestions / tips / help?

Double check that the strut assembly is screwed completely flush to the extention. Try to compress the dampers once or twice before installing them to get the fluid going in there.
For the female connectors, double check to see that the you installed the brackets correctly.

The Hood Dampers are really stiff the first few times. I compressed them up and down a few times before installing them. I thought it was going to bend my hood they were so stiff at first. They break in, though.

Pictures? I'm not sure I understand what the problem is with the female ends.

Now that they compress, the damper can rotate to allow me to line up the holes. Problem solved.
Was just the kind of day where it was freezing cold outside and a typical "easy" install didnt go as smoothly as we all plan them to
Thanks

Yea, I took them off and compressed them on the carpet in my house, which took a LOT of force to do.
