Not sure if anyone is interested but I used some of the equipment we use to record car engines and ran it through a latency free converter re-routed to the aux input, so I can pipe engine or exhaust sound into the interior while I'm driving. Help hear the things that you can normally only hear outside the car. I hooked it up on my STI and my S2000 a while back and thought I would share.

I just had to watch both videos to understand exactly what is an active sound switch is and realized that these are some of the features that are on the newer sportier vehicles from the infinitis and bmws if I recall reading from the automotive mags. What a great choice on the S2000 by the way to try this idea on and I love this idea of the visceral enhancement from the blended sound of the engine/exhaust noise through the speakers. I would definitely add this feature to my S and turn it on when I am about to do some spirited driving. Thanks for sharing

Interesting technical discovery. I feel the sound enhancements in the new cars are gimmicky and a waste of money. Isn't your S loud enough?
