I have many Milwaukee cordless tools including the 3/8 and 1/2 18v FUEL impact guns, and I'll say for the money they are excellent tools. I'm a technician by trade and I wouldn't buy anything else.

I have the craftsman c3 lithium 1/2"

It's been a great tool that has been indispensable.

I'm a little disappointed I can't gun the lugs off when they are torqued down but it's not big deal to break loose the lugs with a breaker bar first.

I really got it so that my gf who isn't strong could potentially go to the track self sufficiently to change pads/rotors and tires if necessary.

Since it doesn't have the torque to break loose the torqued lugs I have been considering switching to either the makita, dewalt or rigid 20v/18v small profile with 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" chuck.

My friends have the makita and dewalt versions and I have been happy with both

^Not sure why youre not able to remove lugs with the XCP C3. Mine zips them off instantly. You sure you dont have the old 200 ft/lb model and not the new 300 ft/lb?

Edit: appears you have the 200 ft/lb model so disregard.

Thanks, guys --

I'm gonna give the Dewalt DCF880HM2 a try. More than I want to spend but I found an unused Amazon gift card to offset the price!

Dewalt is a decent choice but im wondering if 150 ft/lb is going to be enough for lugs/rusty bolts. Its a nice compact unit however which should come in handy on the S2000.

Plenty. My 12V 3/8" 105 ft-lbs Dewalt takes off lug nuts torqued to 85ftlbs without trouble (ref model #DC841KA).

Impacting torque and reversing torque are too totally different values.

So far dewalt, makita and my craftsman cannot break lugs that are torqued.

I torque with a digital torque wrench and it gets calibrated annually.

My Milwaukee ½" is now 14 years old and works like a charm. I used it three weeks ago to pull all of my wheels for powdercoating.
Yep, it's an excellent piece. If yours is that old, you must have the brush motor version. The brushless FUEL version is even better than that (I have both, my older brush motor version stays at home). I was laughing at the posts above talking about 100-200 ft/lbs, mine has 700/1100

Lol I did the same thing hahhaha

Now I only need to figure out how to put little casters and an extension so I can slide it underneath to access the center lift points

I have this old Chicago Pneumatic CP-734 gun. Inherited from my Dad. Thing is built like a tank. Very reliable, so far...
