Lightbulb Js 60RS vs T1R 70R-EM Single or Toda Racing Exhaust 60mm vs comptech Sport Exhaust

Sup Fellow S2K Drivers,

Really need some input on the mentioned exhaust systems. I have a AP1, which of these exhausts can you highly recommend. currently mounted is the Comptech Exhaust which is great but ridiculously heavy.

Criteria:
  • should be daily drivable (not too loud)
  • none to minimal drone
  • best sound / looks on a OEM rear bumper
  • weight and performance gains if any possible at all

Thanks in advance for your input and opinions.

If you don't want it to be too loud or drone, why go with single exhaust setups? Dual exhaust systems also look way better on an S2000 imo (especially on the facelift/AP2 rear bumper).

I have a 60RS dual + J's decat and I'm very happy with the sound, not too loud and no drone.
With the hardtop on it's actually rather quiet, wouldn't mind if it was a bit louder.
With the hardtop off sound is just perfect. I've heard the single J's exhausts and they're (really) loud.

The dual T1R is super f**king loud and is pretty boomy at freeways with the top up. Sounds amazing at WOT but I can't imagine dailying a car with the single. I like my ears and listening to music.

Urge Scavenger/Gernzhuast. Pricey, but sounds awesome

I have both single and dual T1R exhaust. I have the single T1R sparrow with single cap on AP1 and Dual T1R sparrow on my AP2. They sound great. I would go with single T1R. Apexi world sport isnt that bad as well, sound stock on cruzin speed. GL

I just bought a J's 60rs single for my car about a month ago and I love it. I have a stock cat and it sounds amazing WOT and it's not loud when cruising at freeway speeds imo. T1r is nice too but I wanted to go 60mm piping as I thought it might be slightly quieter for daily driving.

I am seriously considering the j's racing single over a custom built using a burns muffler. For those that have the j's I was wondering if you noticed any performance gains via the butt dyno?

The T1R 70EM has an immense amount of drone unless you're crusing at steady state (flat road) at like 55-65mph.

Don't believe anyone (that isn't deaf) that tells you there is "low drone" or "no drone".

I had the dual. I now have the single.

I've tried a stock cat and test pipe.

I used to have a soft top. I now have an OEM hard top (deleted soft top).

So...I've tried a few scenarios.

Inevitably, there is going to be someone that says something like, "if you tilt your head at exactly a 30 degree angle, and use the soft top half way up and have a custom hard top made that looks like the opera house in Sydney...its not droney at all zero problems. Also, interesting fact: nobody can hear sounds in space".

But in real life, on this planet....its very droney.

I love the way it sounds, and it punctuates the car very well. But...its fu#&ing loud and droney.

I wear ear plugs on long trips.

I would assume that the Greddy SE is a daily-able exhaust from what small amount of experience I have with it.

Thanks for all the input. Would be great if this thread would continue to get some input. For myself I just ordered a Js Racing 60RS Single which will be replacing my current Comptech Dual Exhaust System.
Once installed I will post some pics. and videos comparing it to my Comptech
