Js Racing 60 RS vs GReddy SE V2

Torn between the two. Looking for a exhaust that gives a raw sound but not too abnoxiously loud. I don’t daily my s2000 so I don’t care about drone all that much. Which one would you guys pick and why?

I've had the Greddy for a long time. Loved it. Moved onto the 70rr plus. Love it but for different reasons. The Greddy might as well be stock when compared to anything J's racing.

I’ve owned those exhaust;

60rs absolute favorite, some drone, AMAZING sound and tolerable loud. Would recommend for your needs. Can be close to stock sound when driving slowly.
runner up: greddy se v2 dual, very little, almost no drone, sounds great in vtec, recommended setup for daily driven and your neigbors wont hate you so much. Also close to stock when driving slowly. Whatever you do, get the v2, the v1 is a POS.

The 70rr is like the berk 3” headerback. Its untolerable loud, lots of drone and will alert anyone in a mile radius. You just cant keep a low profile when driving any of these 2.... always a very loud roar. You will regret it for the streets unless your still in your younger years... they make easily 125db!

I have the V1 and don’t really have any complaints. It drones at a certain RPM/throttle amount but calling it a POS is a little much. I love the sound and I’ve had many compliments on it.

Breezy, here’s a clip of my
(V1). I honestly believe it’s the best sounding exhaust for the S2000. And it looks great too. I daily mine and the drone doesn’t bug me. I’m sure the V2 is better in that regard.

I think the 60 rs is gonna be the one for me. Now whether I should get single or dual?

Loved my V1 until I upgraded to a Cleib single. Sounded pretty much similar to V2 but with just a little more drone but its still bearable, drove 4 hours to the track and didn't drive me crazy at all. Hands down the best sounding exhaust for the S that is tolerable around town/city. Still unsure about letting mine go since they are both discontinued.

Single will be lighter/cheaper. Dual will fill both exhaust cutouts in the bumper.

Is the Greddy SE V2 still sold anywhere? I thought it was discontinued

Nibreezy 03-22-2019 09:50 AM

They’re discontinued. As for js racing single 60rs, will I have fitment issues on a 06? Read somewhere all their exhausts are designed for ap1s.

the SE was designed for both the ap1 and ap2, it was recommended to use AP1 exhaust hangars as they are stiffer. Though from what Ive seen ap2 hangars work just fine and are slightly easier to use due to the adjustability. While the SE v1/v2 are discontinued, Greddy just released their SP supreme last year or so. It is pretty identical to the gotuning version with the exception of 60mm piping throughout and slightly different welds and stamps on the flanges. The 06+ s2ks do have a different transmission tunnel so some hammering with a rubber mallet may need to be done, some do and some dont.
