Just installed HKS HiPower exhaust....

I just decided to go out to the freeezing cold garage and install the exhaust I bought. If I had a hoist, I coulda done in in a solid 20 mins TOPS! I did it on a cold concrete floor, with almost no room to move, and I was done in about 1 hour just puttering at it.

I am a little concerned about the close proximity of the tips to the bumper cutouts. Even pulling on them doesnt get them to touch, but I am worried about heat. I will post a few pics when i get them off the frozen camera. Other than that, I just idled it so far, but does it ever seem quiet! WOW, not what I expected in the least. A quality product for sure tho, providing I dont have heat issues with the bumper.

I don't think so, but you may get the paint a little dirty......do you have a side pic? will the fumes clear the bumper?

you can try bending the hangers to help in down and forward - if that's what you are wanting.

BTW - when you buy this, does it ask for AP1 OR AP2 models?

you may have gotten an AP1 since it looks like it sets a little closer in.

that look like a nice fit to me. if it were too low it'd look cheap and tacky. throw a test pipe behind that exhaust and it'll sound AMAZING.

i would know :D

if it doesn't make contact, it shouldn't melt

No side pic, but it does pass the bumper for depth. As for AP1/AP2, they are the same P/N. There is no room at all to bend anything. In fact, when you bolt it all together, it finds its own spot, and you cant change that. Hard to explain, but no matter what, unless you tweaked one of the pipes in a bender, then that is how it will stay. It is a strong a$$ system that is for sure! I had a Stainless 5" exhaust on my diesel, and it wasnt even close to the quality or fitment this thing is! Im super impressed with the quality, but just concerned about the clearences. Here..... Ill get a side pic......

Pic spamming at its best.... sorry...

I could see if you heated the hanger where it goes into the rubber and take it from 90* to say - 22*. This may drop all the back down to accomodate, but definately no possiblility of streching the system lengthwise.

I was referring to bending the hangers.

In some cases you can manipulate the way the hanger sets, (how its sets in the rubber bushing) hard to explain with out being able to show you, but we did this on an Invidia. It made a difference though.
