Default LHT master cylinder brace on AP1. Dosent fit

Hello,

wonder if there is ap1 owner that installed the lht bmc and what did you do to make it fit and clean all the brake line? Mine is making contact with the last line with a 90deg near the master..

thank you for the help.

I bought one when they first came out. Sold it shortly after receiving it. The brake line on my '01 is smack dab in the middle of the master cylinder. It would have required an aggressive bend to make work- which wasn't worth it.

If you decide to sell it, I’ll take it.

Does this thing even do anything? Obviously it's gotta do something, but is it even worth whatever it does do? Sucks that this is the only option available for USDM cars. RHD cars have some pretty cool options because there's quite a bit more room available on that side. I feel like it's just kind of an ugly piece....looks like someone took the shaft out of a c-clamp and threaded it into a billet bracket. No need to make things any more complicated than they need to be to serve a function, but I think it's ugly lol.

I'll take a look at mine when I get home, it's been like 8 years since I installed mine. There's nothing wrong with bending the brake line up a little bit to clear though. If it's just surface contact that's not a big deal either.

Don't know about ugly, the part isn't visible once installed. I have the thinner model with no garish lettering but even if it was pink it's still not be visible.

There is significant firewall flex during brake application have a buddy firmly press the brakes while you watch or use the movie App on your phone camera. This minimizes it. The claim is better braking or brake feel. Stops the firewall flex for sure.

Yeah you're supposed to bend the line out of the way a little bit for it to fit without touching.
