Lug nuts

Hey guys,

I've been hearing different opinions from some people, but I need a definite answer. Can you put aftermarket lug nuts on OEM AP2 wheels? I've been wanting to get some red anodized ones.

Thanks all!

You can but you really shouldn't. Typically, OEM lug nuts should be used with OEM wheels; aftermarket lug nuts should used with aftermarket wheels.

No you can't, unless the lug nut has the proper mating interface

Just buy some red ball seat lug nuts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-HONDA-BAL...76af09&vxp=mtr I don't know anything about the quality of the lug nuts in this link, but thats the kind of thing you need. :tipwink:

I have some red lug nuts on my ap2 and i have the oem stock wheels too. Had no problem putting them on. Just had to be careful so I wouldn't scratch them putting them on. :p

Its not that they are difficult to put on, its that the wrong ones are dangerous.

Anyone have any experience with these eBay lug nuts? I'm wanting some in black for my s2k and it appears they have them for ~$27. I wonder how the quality is...much cheaper than the CR lugs I was considering that run about $100 for a set of 20

I'm interested in those as well.. As long as they're seated properly and the anodizing won't fade I'd grab them

Ive had the black ones on my ap1 for about two weeks now and there good

Considering quality lug nuts like Rays and similar fade, I've got an inkling the ones that are 1/5th the cost are going to fade as well.
