The exhaust tunnel is different on 06+ cars and a lot of the exhaust on the market were first designed prior to the '06 model year being introduced. Most have not bothered to go back and fix this so you may have fitment issues on 06+ models.

im starting to think it may have something to do with my test pipe
the guy i bought the exhaust from had a 2007 with an EVS HFC and he had no fitment issues
im using a generic ebay 60mm test pipe
ive noticed by looking at pictures some test pipes vary in length by manufacturer
i think the the test pipe was a little longer it may clear

I just measured the stock cat for someone and recall it measured between 18-1/2 and 19-1/4 (or so) due the flanges being non-parallel. Tried it with the OEM cat? That will pin point the cat-delete as the issue.

Bingo.

that area of the tunnel that you're hitting is usually where exhaust hit when they were designed for 00-05. For a proper fit, you need to get an exhaust that was prototyped on a 06+ car.

What's not making sense tho is that the guy i bought it from had zero issues on his 07 with an evs hfc
I just ordered a 70mm berk test pipe
Ill get that bolted up and see what adjustments i can make from there
The exhaust sounds great, I'm pretty determined to get it to work

it could be the test pipe, but i have a feeling it's the exhaust. i did a lot of exhaust fitment in my day and all of the 70mm+ systems that were made for 00-05 hit in that very same spot on 06+.

Isn't Milltek a UK brand as well? I could be wrong but i don't think they have the updated ap2 chassis with the different floor pan. All of their cars are designated AP1's with F20's, althought they did get the facelift and some interior updates, so i'm not sure.

You could also take a picture from the same angle as my picture. It should be easy to see if the chassis difference is what's causing your exhaust to hit.

The 2006+ floorpan is different than the earlier cars. Its a known issue even with other exhausts.

Do the Miltek come with slip fittings that you can maybe adjust a little?

You have to push the center section down. You can do this by installing an exhaust hanger that is longer and stiffer than OEM. I think you need roughly 60-62mm center to the center hanger. Then you need to use some washer to lower the tie bar down so it doesn't hit that once the exhaust is lowered
