Modifry still around?

So I sent an email to Bob but no luck, I think my DCI is starting to lose its functionality after 6 years or so. Has anyone purchased anything from him recently? Do they still do business? If worse comes to worse Ill probably just buy another DCI. Does anyone else have any input in to other alternative DCIs that maintain full functionality of the side panel controls? Thanks.

I placed an order on his site back in May and everything went smoothly. I did not have to email/contact him though.

I emailed him earlier in the year, I bought 2 of the seat belt locks he still had in-stock. His website is still up, so he definitely is still open for business.

anytime i use my built in storage as cup holder; I want the cup holder they sell; I just can't spend 45 bucks to hold my drink.

They are still up and running. I just ordered a shift beeper last week and received it in 3 days after ordering.

Not sure which dci you need but there is one for Sony/pioneer on eBay for $10 the same person also has a shift beeper for $65

Can't find the DCI on eBay.

I can’t imagine not having it. It was one of the first things I bought when I got the car. Also have the radio control and phone mount.

I hope that if he wants to retire or close up shop, that he would offer up the business to other S2KI members so we can keep his products going.

Not a bad idea. He might have family willing to take over if that happens though

Speaking of modifry, I had posted in the interior sub forum wondering about the dash bracket . Has it been beefed up over the years to account for the weight of today's phones? I just installed one I had purchased like 6 or 7 years ago and it's flimsy as hell with my phone.

I doubt the designed changed over the years, you can email bob@modifry.com and see if he has any ideas how to fix this. He sells this foam https://modifry.com/index.php?route=...product_id=152 too. I'm curious how my Xperia XZ2 Premium will work, when I ever get to installing this mount.

Not loving this but maybe the best solution. Thanks.

What phone do you have? I have an IPhone X and it isn't too bad. I feel like the bracket is pretty stiff. What I found moving is the holder itself that slides into the bracket...seems to be a little free-play between the tab and slot that it slides into.

I have a galaxy note 8 with an OtterBox case.
I have found it's less wobbly the lower the phone sits in the holder so it's actually closer to the bracket, which makes sense. The problem with that is the arms contact the buttons on the phone inadvertently.o well. Ok figure something out

just installed mines a few months back. My phone (iPhone X with otter box defender case) wobbles every time I touch the phone. Doesn’t bother me much anymore but the placement is nice. Wish the bracket was thicker. And I not really digging the look of the foam

sillyboybmxer 10-19-2019 02:32 PM

I went ahead and ordered the foam. Function>form I guess.
