I got mine from Honda and they were ready to install for no further labour on my behalf. Now, if they ran $50 each...I'd have repainted.

one of the few OEM parts that's reasonably priced.

was it just a simple pop off and pop on fix? No extra parts needed?

But mines an 02 and they are silver. The car is sebring silver with a spoiler if that matters.

Im thinking them black would look good and I could just save the money and strip the silver off the ones I have. Does it look weird if I just strip the paint?

First, I made sure it wasn't cold so I didn't snap any parts.
Using a trim removal tool with a towel between the removal tool and the leather, I slowly and gently pried the trim piece off the back of the seat. You'll know where to pry by using the new piece as a template. I put the new piece on and snapped it into place- took 10 minutes for both sides.

good luck

yes it looks weird as you'll see the casting in the plastic. if you want black you should order black, they are textured not smooth

2000-01 are textured and black on black/red on red seats. 2002-05 are smooth and silver.

Can always use textured black spray paint tho! If I were you I’d order new silver ones, and then get creative with the ones you have carbon fiber vinyl, textured black, whatever floats your boat!
