First mod? Good tires are paramount for best handling. Fixation with peak horsepower and spending boat loads of money to get it seldom is worth anything other than in the "mine is bigger than yours" discussions. Few of us can exploit the performance of the car as it came off the showroom. Master the car first.
The Engineering Explained guy just changed the differential in his AP1. Cut the top speed, of course. Top speed is just another "mine is bigger than yours" thing though as once you get over 140mph it's all terror anyway.

Wheels look to be Work CR Kai's. Could also be Rota Torque's but it's hard to tell from the grainy pic.
