New Steering Wheel. Quick Release? 330 or 350mm?
Good morning Guys,
New order to be placed today. But not 100% sure on the way to go. Personal Neo Grinta Suede Red 330mm or Personal Neo Grinta Suede Red 350mm https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...9752131025.png + NRG Steering Coninal Wheel Screw Kit Red https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...3be236cd83.jpg + HKB Steering Wheel Boss Kit Honda S2000 Airbag https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...7e2d30960e.jpg OR Quick Release NRG NRG Short Steering Wheel Boss Honda S2000 W/ Resistor and NRG Quick Rlease Steering Wheel Hub Boss GEN 2.5 https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...85e6871b0c.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...454a97fdd2.jpg My two main questions. 330 or 350 mm considering I have the Recaro Poleposition with Low Seat Rails and I'm 6'2. Quick Release or Normal Hub. What you guys recommend from your experience? Thank you! ;) |
Those screws makes me cringe, hopefully they wont snap all at the same time :)
I have a 350mm neo grinta and it feels perfect, I went with leather version instead though because I don't want to ruin it while driving without gloves. Quick release is nice to have and if you do go for one use something high quality, I don't know much about those NRG ones they all look like Chinese crap to me. This is what I'm using and can recommend instead Road Cars | SnapOff.com Not sure where the best place to get them outside of Sweden but shouldn't be to hard to find. |
NRG is well known and widely used I don't think you have to worry about their quality just make sure you buy from a reputable dealer so you don't end up with a fake one. You could also look at the works bell hub since it comes with the fix for the airbag light though it isn't quick release. Gotuning carries them. I have a momo tuner steering wheel and I think it is the 350 but don't remember off hand. I like it fine. I also went with leather since it holds up better to use.

330mm is perfect, im running a leather Personal Grinta on my car and i love it. I tried a 350mm and its wayy too big for the car. I track my car and occasionally drive the car off the track.

I've been using the NRG short hub and V3 quick release for 3 years now on my S2000 and before that 2 years on my Civic and still works as it's supposed to.

it's all personal preference. I've tried 320mm (Momo tuner), 330 (Personal Neo Grinta Suede), and 350mm (Personal Neo Grinta Leather), my favorite size is 350mm.

Keep in mind that Ap1 wheels are 350mm while Ap2 wheels are 330mm. I have a fully dedicated ap1 track car that I bought a leather 350mm for. I thought it was a good idea but sold it 2 months after. Purchased a suade 330mm wheel and haven't looked back. Granted the car gets driven 2 days a month and only with gloves on.

OEM steering wheel is 360mm.

Get the 350mm. I have driven an ap2 with pole positions and a 330mm wheel and it perfectly blocked the rpm display and a portion of the speed. I am 6' for reference, and the owner of the vehicle was a little taller and had the same complaint. |
