Default NRG engine torque damper kit won't fit!

The damper itself is way too long, even in its shortest settings. Take a look:

This is the closest I could get it to fit, and this is after taking out one of the rubber things from inside (there should be 3 total, one white two red, i tried to make it fit with only 2).

The item # is EDA-403, they have other ones that have a different mounting part on the strut, but this one does not require any modification to the fuse box. Heres what mine looks like: http://racinghouse.onlinera.com/NRG/NRG-EDA-403.jpg

What the heck is going on?!

I can drill a hole on the bracket, but I want to ensure that this is installed correctly as the design is intended--assuming the pieces I received is specific to the s2000

I think it is adjustable, you would have to remove it and have the other side screw it in a little bit so it will fit. I have seen this taken apart before and that might do the trick for you.

I've done as much as I could in adjusting the length but It's still off by an inch at best. Looks like I'll just have to drill a hole into the bracket. I managed to find some installed pictures of this model in the FS forum, another member had also drilled a hole about 1.5 inches away.

Thread bump... while attempting to install my NRG ETD I realised that they did not supply one more bolt that is needed to bolt the small bracket onto the head next to the VTEC solenoid. What size bolt is it? Guessing it's a 12? Why didn't they supply one...???

Just spent my day attempting the NRG ETD install. Complete failure, missing bolt into the engine as well. Don't know the specs and the tower bracket does not fit at all.

Problem solved! I found a shop selling the appropriate metric M10x25x1.25. The last part is crucial - the thread pitch. Now my ETD is on and I'm enjoying the results.

Default NRG rubber inserts

Did NRG provide additional hardware for the black rubber to fit with the dampers? I had to find additional M10x1.5 50mm to get the rubbers mounted too fyi.

NRG does not provide the bolt to the head, I did the same as RolanTHUNDER and got one from the hardware store. Everything else was supplied. To swap the inserts you have to take the damper apart and switch out the red ones.

No. To fit the black rubber inserts just unscrew either end of the damper then insert the rubber bushings and tighten the damper ends. I didn't use them though. I also had to remove the nut from the shorter side of the damper as it would not line up with the shock tower bracket
