NRG Hood Damper - Not Vertical?

Not CF, but NGR that go vertical.

Well here are the shots from my perspective on my cars.

These are NRG non CF on MY03, purchased last spring.


And these are SOS on MY06, don't think they have changed their design ever.


Very big difference.

Mine don't go vertical either. I was disappointed at first, but after performing a valve adjustment with them on, I'm okay with it as I didn't hit my head on the hood. Lol!

Also not vertical. Personally think the NRG ones are a waste of money. If previous owner wouldn't have bought them i would have gone off brand

When i installed my intake manifold i found them getting in the way a little but i would still prefer them over the stock rod.

I have the NRG CF and they definitely do not go vertical. I have the SOS ones as well which do go vertical, but they are also significantly more expensive.
