Hey, do any of you folks find that the hood dampers get in the way when you are working on the engine? I'm considering this upgrade and frankly not sure how they might interfere with routine engine work/maintenance.
Mine don't go vertical either. I was disappointed at first, but after performing a valve adjustment with them on, I'm okay with it as I didn't hit my head on the hood. Lol!

When i installed my intake manifold i found them getting in the way a little but i would still prefer them over the stock rod.
Well here are the shots from my perspective on my cars.
These are NRG non CF on MY03, purchased last spring.
And these are SOS on MY06, don't think they have changed their design ever.
Very big difference.
I have the NRG CF and they definitely do not go vertical. I have the SOS ones as well which do go vertical, but they are also significantly more expensive.
