Yes there is a gasket. It is a ring like gasket that crushes when compressed and seals the connection. I have been through a couple of them purchased at the dealership. I ordered a real exhaust gasket thing now to make sure it was a good seal on my HKS exhaust. Got it from Berk. Kinda expensive but it is the right shape which I couldn't find anywhere else and seals it up 100%.

there are 2 gaskets.. there is a donut type gasket from the header to the cat. from the cat to the exhaust there is a round rubber gasket, that is not really visible from the outside. kinda sits in the piping almost.

Mine was metal not rubber. Maybe different for different years or something.

As others have said, there is a crush ring gasket where the cat & cat-back meet. The ring sits inside a recess on the exhaust flange.

If you are using an aftermarket exhaust you need to use a gasket there. As far as I know, BERK is the only one who sells that gasket separately. We made it available to you guys primarily for those of you who buy exhausts second hand and don't get that gasket from the seller.

Hope that helps.

^Top quality gasket too, I've had it on and off many times the past two years and it's holding up compared to cheapo cardboard type gaskets.

My 07 did not. I had to order one from the dealership. It was under $8. I just placed the order for this on Saturday. I told them I wanted the gasket between the cat and the exhaust.

Am I going to receive another crush gasket? Its no big deal, I haven't paid for the item yet.

I need a 70mm gasket though, can I cut the Berk gasket to size with some tin snips and be ok?

You might be able to, but the edges won't turn out nice. I've never tried it to be honest......
