OEM hardtop fitment issues

Yes. If there are spacers on one side and none on the other, that could be the cause of the unevenness. Those screws have locktite on them and some(including me) have broken off the nuts within the hardtop trying to remove them.

I see, thanks man. I'll look it over in hopes it's spaced correctly. You think I'll be able to see the spacers without trying to remove the latches?

I don't think so because the headliner seals around the latches. Have a look at this ad, https://www.s2ki.com/forums/socal-sw...erk-tp-686652/ it has pictures of the spacers I'm talking about.

If its not the front latches then either the hardtop itself is outshine or the rears are misadjusted.

Interesting.... I'll have to look at the instructions for mounting the hard top rear latches and see if I can try again and then try and get the front latches off the hard top. Wish I could put heat on the bolts to break the bond but I don't think that'll be possible.

I meant to say out of shape not outshine

The side catchers and the rear upper latches have some room for adjustment. You might be able to get 1/4" or more just from those.
