Bought a new battery for the S this weekend and was wondering if there was anything special about the Panasonic battery that comes in our cars. It did seem lighter than the new battery I got, but I'm not sure.

 

I guess, if "special" means "dies after 3 years" (which mine did).

yeah...white casing. Im a moron and left my interior lights on after my modifry strap install...took it into Orielly's to have the battery charged and tested, but it came back "bad." Will invest in a battery charger for the future, but bought a new battery from them...seems heavier.

 

My 2002 S2000's OEM battery lasted from December 2001 (build month) to June 2010 (39,800 miles) when I changed it
out because cranking speed was a little slower. I have never had a car battery last so long! I tried to purchse
an identical OEM battery, but was told they are not available (in USA) by Fayetteville, AR Honda dealer.
