Sorry to bump a thread from a few months back, but I have a few questions. Does anyone have pictures of OEM seals on a replica top? Specifically the metal retainers? Second, has anyone done this on a carbon fiber top?

Nobody has an answer to this? I'm about to order one of the metal retainers and give it a shot. I'm not exactly fond of trying to screw something into carbon so I think I might use pop rivets.

Iv done it, I just drilled a small pilot hole and than ran the screw down with a screw driver

i will be getting my cf top soon and will be using oem hardware on it. i can post pictures of the metal retainers sometime tonight.

I got confirmation from my hardtop manufacturer (Forbidden USA) that the OEM seals will work. I have bought the retainers and they are on the way. I haven't decided if I'm going to try to tap and thread the carbon or use a pop rivet.
