We have used the oem seals and metal retailers on our tops in the past. Works great if you want to spend the money on that. We have great pricing with Honda and can supply these as an option with purchase of our hardtop as well.

Did you use them on carbon hardtops? If so, how did you attach the retainers? Screws or pop rivets?

Just a little update. My seals and retainers showed up the other day. Last night I drilled and pop riveted a test hole on my top, in a location that can't be seen from inside or outside of the car. The pop rivet worked perfectly. I was afraid there would be some creaking or cracking noise from the rivet clamping down, but the carbon held up like a champ. I will be doing a full DIY this weekend so nobody has to spend as much time worrying about this as I did.

Well I made good progress. I got the passenger side completely done and it looks and fits perfect. Unfortunately the driver side will have to wait. CFL honda sent me two of the same metal retainer.
