Default Opinion on the aFe Takeda intake?

I couldn't find any info on this intake on here but it may possibly be under a different name so I apologize in advance if there's already a thread about it elsewhere!

Anyways, I was looking around at intakes and I haven't seen this particular one for our car. Would this fit with an AUT cooling plate in place? Does anyone use it or have any more information on it? It seems like a pretty good setup.

Been looking at this, too. It just got released last month so I doubt you'll find any feedback yet. It's unlikely the AUT would work.

aFe makes good stuff. MotoIQ has dyno tested some Takeda intakes in the past that outperform other brands.

I like it. Glad to see companies still developing parts for this car. Aut puts the snorkel thing too far to the right side of the car.

It looks very interesting. I was thinking of getting the AUT plate with my FIPK but this looks like it could go well with a cooling plate that has a cutout like the PW:JDM one.

I wonder how this will do against a K&N FIPK. Will sub for more details.

there's a guy out here in socal who was one of the test cars and has nothing but positive reviews about it. Judging from the looks alone the enclosed box is already a big plus vs the crap box the FIPK comes with.

I think any kind of cooling plate with this would be more of a restriction than anything else. With the hood closed, the intake draws from the cold air which doesn't go through the radiator. Cooling plates close off this area to force more air into the rad, no? Any snorkel/hole on it won't compare favorably to just having it completely open, IMO.

Really tempted to get one. I just got a baseline dyno and would definitely run it again with the intake. Brew1, keep us posted with your impressions
