I'm hoping someone posts some better pictures of this along with some comments on fitment and sound. It looks like a nice piece although I'm not a fan of the plastic 'window' thing on the box, that part seems cheesy and unnecessary.

Alright guys I just had rockstar install one of these bad boys on my car! I came from a k&n with no heat shield that was a piece of shit. The fitment is damn good, so is the construction and quality, it also sounds so much better.

What's the reason for not running the heat shield on the K&N FIPK?

Also how does it sound "so much better"? More growl, louder? Thanks!

It's got a deeper meaner tone,it doesn't scream at the vtec crossover quite like the k&n does, but to me the k&n had a bit of a ricey sound to it. As for the heat shield that's just how the intake is, it's not quite the same as the fpik with the black pipe. Was on the car when I bought it years ago.

This looks promising! I'd like to hear more, but am tempted to go ahead and order one.

I am curious about this as well. The website lists it at 15 lbs, but that seems a little heavy.

There's no way it's 15 pounds
