I'm not sure I'll ever use the "launch control" or advanced features.
Apparently the AEM EMS has a launch control option that works better.
But that's only what I "heard" so maybe someone can chime in with some experience on that part.

Choungsgay: I answered the question a few posts above.

And here's the link to the UK site:
http://www.racelogic.co.uk/?show=Traction_...g-Retail_Prices

Use a currency converter and that's the range of prices. For basic function, I think the base unit would be fine. I'm not sure I'll ever use the "launch control" or advanced features.
Sorry, I should have read the ENTIRE post, thanks!

In simple terms... You know how AP2s have traction control, this is aftermarket traction control for the AP1s. If you still want more explanations, I think the first page covers some of it. Or just click on the link the OP provided a few posts above this. You have to do a little search on your own now...

Clicky on the website above.

Basically, it's an aftermarket traction control unit that uses the ABS sensors to detect slip. Depending on the amount of slip, it will retard fuel injection.

Supposedly used on Aston Martin and Lotus vehicles.

Some of the RX-7 and Supra guys use them.

But, in contrast to the Honda VSA... the system is geared towards performance rather than granny nanny... and the amount of allowable slip is variable from 0-25%+ so you can change the amount of safety net you want.

It's been great in the wet. I normally don't drive the Honda in the wet, but I was shocked at just how squirrely the rear can get with FI and a little heavy throttle (and yes, I have fresh tires).

Not on the 1052U for the S it doesn't
CKit thanks very much I expect with an AEM EMS it will work just as well!
Plus no CEL's at all!

BTW the Honda VSA works really well on the road. Not great on the track. If it was adjustable it would be great as it has two yaw sensors, proportional throttle control, seperate ABS control on each wheel.
