Default Racing seat compatible seatbelt receptacle

I've been struggling getting a seatbelt receptacle that's compatible and long enough for a Sparco Evo 2. I tried a seat belt extender from that website everyone always links, but the metal tongue wasn't long enough. I tried a rear seat belt receptacle from a Mazda 626, but the opening is too narrow. I've got a MY03. What the hell am I doing wrong?

I once saw someone bought an eyelet mount and some seat belt material and custom assembled a longer receptacle with the OEM piece, but I can't seem to find the link to that anymore. I think that could work since I'd be guaranteed compatibility and I could choose my preferred length.

I was the guy who found out that a 2nd gen Eclipse REAR seatbelt recepticle works on AP1's.

I used a steel plate with 2 drilled holes to extend it far out enough.

Easy peasy. Make sure you pick hardware to retain the OEM free rotating design, though.

I used the AP1 extenders from 4extender.com for my MY03 and they fit fine. Probably not the most cost efficient option at $30 each, but I didn't want to mess with sourcing used ones that may or may not work.
