S2000 Ballast HID Removal for LED?

S2000 Ballast HID Removal for LED?
Hi, has anyone done modifications to their s2000 and removed the ballast? I was wondering this and you might be asking why? Thinking about going NAO LED or Yumseen LED, look on amazon for them. They have very few reviews but still positive non the less.
I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if you did... Did you do this with ordinary LEDs or the ones i listed, some people complain that apparently LEDs are not as bright as HID's. Would anyone give me some insight? Thanks. Someone's going to probably bash me for taking out the ballast but oh well.
Again, please anyone can chime in!
Pros to removing ballast:
- Can resell OEM ballast for $200-$400
- HID Bulbs can cost alot so removing that and ballast can save you $ for a LED replacement
- Ballast failure replacement is going to cost alot so changing over to a possible LED is always good I'd say
- No dangerous voltage and current to deal with
- Possibility of less weight
- LED is more durable and supposedly last 50k mtbf for NAO and 30k mtbf Yumseen. 2 Year warranty.
Cons
- Might not be able to resell S2000 if this mod is done (doesn't matter, keeping till i die)
- Possibly modify wiring to connector bulb, cut the end of the connector off and wire in a new connector type for that led size.

OSRAM CBB in stock housings. No need for anything else. They are pure white once warmed up and very bright, much brighter than the OEM bulbs. As for the ballasts, I have 13 years on my OE with no issue and their weight is negligible.

I actually manufacture and sell LED headlights and I wouldn't recommend this. OEM HIDs > LEDs

Most affordable source for them that I have found is linked below. They are legit bulbs verified via OSRAM's trust site. The delivery takes a little while due to them coming from the UK.
