Seat belt light on after hard dog bar install?
 

After installing the hard dog bulkhead replacement bar, my seat belt light wont turn off (the one that looks like a passenger sitting in a chair with the air bag expanded).

Any idea what happened and how to fix this? All the seat belt reel electrical connections are secure and I've already pulled my negative terminal.

I'm hesitant to drive my car until I figure this out. The last thing I want is to get into an accident and not have my belts or air bag work.

What about the connector under the driver's seat?

Id start with resetting the air bag system. There are instructions on here some where.

You turned the key on when a reel was unplugged.
Reset the airbag is right.

Ah, yes. I had the reels disconnected, then put in the key to raise my soft top a little during the install. Maybe that is what triggered the issue. Thank you!

I'll bring home a paper clip from work and try using it as a jumper to reset the system.
